I had an amazing experience of getting a medical check done with Globiana clinic in Katowice. I was really impressed with politeness and professionalism of all the doctors and other staff at the clinic, organisation and punctuality of the whole process as well as the overall welcoming atmosphere of the clinic. My wife required a Total Hip Replacement but the current waiting time in Northern Ireland is between 5-7 years. She was in so much pain we began looking into going private. I contacted a number of clinics in NI, GB, Republic of Ireland and Lithuania. All were keen to carry out the surgery but when I started to forward my wife's medical history we were informed that they were unable to help. My wife suffered two strokes a number of years ago and has Atrial Fibrillation. Her health is generally good and her consultant had recommended the operation. Further research resulted in finding Euro Treat Med (Sanvimed Private Hospital). From first contact with Maja, the treatment co-ordinator everything went so smoothly. As many other former patients have stated in their reviews the whole process ran smoothly. Contact with Maja through "WhatsApp" was instant. Any queries etc were answered quickly no matter how silly the question. I explained my wife's conditions etc and after consultation with the surgeon my wife was accepted for surgery. Maja was the constant throughout the whole process. Everything went exactly as planned and we found every aspect of the treatment to be of the same high standard as others have described. I accompanied my wife so Maja had made suggestions on how I could fill my time. I was able to Head in to Krakow for a couple of days, visit the famous Salt mines and also visit Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps, all by rail from the local station. A bus stop is located right outside the hospital and buses 15, 81 & 83 all take you into Zabrze, about 8 minutes away. Transport was very cheap. The Staff cook breakfast with a wide choice of options and a local restaurant delivers your lunch and dinner selections from a wide and varied menu. Food was of an excellent standard. The staff at Sanvimed are excellent. There is that personal feel about the whole place and nothing is too much bother . The Surgeon Mr Pawlak was a lovely man and took the time to explain the whole procedure and really took an interest in his patients and this was reflected in the whole team. The nursing care and pain relief treatment was above any we could have expected and we would like to thank all the staff for how well they looked after us and were always ready to meet our every need.
