Phlebology: treatment of venous diseases.
Phlebology is the study of the anatomy, physiology, and disease of veins and vessels. The most common venous disorder is varicose veins. Varicose veins (varicoses or varicosities) occur when your veins become enlarged, overfilled with blood. Varicose veins are often painful and have a bluish-purple or red colour. Usually, this parts of legs become swollen, aches and feel heavy. The condition is very common, especially in women. Over 50% of women over 50 years old do have varicose veins.
